What We Do

FSH supports hospice care for Sussex by raising funds which are distributed on the basis of episodes of care received by residents of Sussex. Figures are provided by each hospice after the end of the financial year. The distribution criteria are reviewed annually by FSH Trustees and discussed with each hospice chief executive.

FSH has a reputation for well-organised and successful fundraising events including:

  • A major summer fundraising concert
  • A quarterly Ladies’ Luncheon Club
  • A bridge drive at Glyndebourne every Autumn
  • A Christmas Gift Fair in December
  • An annual Black Tie Dinner
  • A Hospice Trail Walk
  • The annual Mad March Pub Quiz, a hugely successful pan-Sussex event  involving 100 pubs across Sussex throughout March
  • Three sell-out Christmas concerts at Glyndebourne in 2014, 2015 and 2017
