Each participant will be given a small section of the chosen painting to reproduce using watercolour, acrylics, or pastels – not oil because of drying times
Paper will be provided but bring your own brushes and painting materials. Artists of all abilities are warmly welcomed
On Sunday 18 February artists and their guests are invited to the grand unveiling
Each participant will be provided with an approximately A3 sheet of 300gsm paper and a printed section of the whole image to reproduce. There will be 72 sections in all. Depending on their skills and experience, artists can choose to tackle a more or less complicated section.
The hall will be open between 10am and 5pm on Saturday; participants can start and finish at times to suit themselves, taking into account how long they expect to need to paint an A3 sheet. There may be an opportunity to paint more than one section.
There will be tea, coffee, cold drinks and refreshments on sale during the day on Saturday.
On Sunday the hall will be open between 12 noon and 2pm when the completed image will be revealed.
WHAT TO BRING:
- Paints – watercolours, acrylics, pastels (oil paints are not suitable for this project because of their longer drying time) – and brushes.
- Water pot
