I decided to be walk the whole Trail when I heard about it from its designer Sue Korman. My favourite part of the walk was the sense of well being, the companionship walking with friends and meeting people along the way.
As a junior doctor in London in the 1960’s I was lucky enough to meet Dame Cicely Saunders, whose work laid the foundation of the UK hospice movement.
More recently, from being involved at The Martlets, I’ve seen first hand just how much vital support and comfort hospices provide. Their work touches all our lives; it is freely open to all and yet is only partly funded by the government.
As you can see the amount raised so far for the hospices has, to my delight, passed the £2500 mark and I am deeply grateful to everyone who has contributed to this sum.
